Abstract

The aim of the present study is to identify the nature of the relationship between exposure to community violence and behavioral problems (aggression, fear) , predictive of the level of behavioral problems in the light of exposure to violence The sample consists of (91) Males and (86 ) females in the 5-6 age group we used the measure for community violence by (Nathana Fox and Lawis.leavitt 1995) to measure the level of exposure to violence and the list of behavioral problems to measure aggression and fear The results indicated a high level of exposure to community violence in children. Differences between males and females were also found in the level of exposure to community violence. There was also a significant relationship between exposure to community violence, aggressive behavior and fear .
