Abstract
This study aims recognize the cylindrical stamps as one of the most archaeological sources for studying the history and civilization of Mesopotamia. It also shows its essential role of providing information regarding the different aspects of life including political, economic and religious features. Therefore, the study will shed light on the technical properties by which that the cylindrical stamps were distinguished in every cultural stage since the beginning of the Era Dawn Dynasties Passing through the Sumerian, Akkadian, and Ashurian stages as well as the materials those cylindrical stamps were made of. Different Kinds of these stamps were the most important including both the local and the imported ones. The Key issue of the findings of this study is the relationship between the function of these cylindrical stamps with the notion of organizing commercial transactions among individuals. In addition, every cultural stage of the history of Mesopotamia is distinguished by certain features that make it outstanding among other stages. This, of course, will help researchers in the processes of history and determining the periods of time more precisely. Also, it will help them to recognize many religious practices. It also provides researchers with in-depth information about the designing of temples and what they contain including furniture and acquisitions concerning performance of religious practices
